    About Dr. Erika Beckles Camez

    Framework:

Change, growth and adaptation are all natural phenomena that every living being experiences. We have a built-in desire to be interdependent, to create meaningful change and influence in the world around us. I help my clients to create a framework that allows them to connect with themselves, their peers, and the systems around them in ways that foster constant opportunities for growth and learning.

Our ideas and beliefs guide the themes, patterns, and relationships that affect our life experiences… and we take them with us everywhere we go. We take them into our relationships, to work, and we make small and large decisions based on our beliefs every day.

The tricky part is that so much of our beliefs are a mix of emotional injuries from our childhood. Repeated moments of facing adversity, failure, and traumatic memories cause us to ignore, silence, or overcompensate for these uncomfortable and unresolved emotions. When we are unaware of how these battles drive the decisions that affect the quality of our relationships and work, we lose control over our own lives.

In our time together, I will help you explore the areas that impact your decisions, feelings, and understanding of the world around you. We will work together to identify your goals and create a roadmap to them.

Having the ability to learn, grow, and adapt is our biggest asset. I will help you to intentionally examine parts of yourself, your relationships, and your experiences to gain a deeper and more meaningful understanding of yourself, others, and how you interact with the world around you.

We should not aim for lives that are perfect or absent of hardship, but we should learn from those experiences and use them as opportunities to grow. I will support you as you face your challenges by committing to facilitate your understanding, insight, direction, and growth.
